9) Sound stupid. Or like a 13 year old sending text messages– same difference. And a great way to disillusion anyone who might follow you elsewhere.

10) Send generic ‘thanks for the reply.’ If someone takes the time to reply to something you’ve said, either say nothing (especially if nothing’s the appropriate response) or make it at least a tiny bit personal.
