While I'm a strong proponent of copyright protection, this seems like another justification for the government to invade our lives and take our freedoms. Every step this guy has taken has been to take away the freedoms that Americans were granted by the original framers of our constitution. He's proposing prison for ATTEMPTED copyright theft. Does anyone think that they are going to far with this besides me? He's proposing wiretaps for investigating copyright infringement (warrant-less, no doubt). Almost every proposal brings us closer to what Putin is creating in Russia . . . a police state wrapped in fear. At some point, even the innocent will be caught up in this. Gonzales needs to go and it needs to happen NOW! I’m more scared than anything else.
