Hi Josh ..
Cool picture you have with sea background..Hey 1st time I reach here
and quite interesting timeforblogging.com offering and sharing here.

On your post if me I'm proud when somebody steal, plagiarized and translated to their language at the end people will know that. It's hard for 1st time and to covering any lost posting 2-3 entry like what you did here gain back your originality and integrities..

We can stop this when change or disable any of the internal link out e.g. to page 404.Happy blogging Josh :D

hello there! indeed I am the guy who did it, as said, I was just thinking that giving credit to the original source and linking back was ok, so did not think about asking permission for translating the post. Anyhow, as said, I apologize to Josh! the post was so great that I went point by point to see which mistakes I had already made on my own blog :-) cheers!

UPDATE: The person who translated the post wrote me an email apologizing. It was hartfelt and sincere and I do forgive him for doing it. It seems like he didn't realize that it would be looked down upon, and he felt that by linking to my post he was properly attributing the post. He even offered to take it down.

There is a point in the Top 77 list that mentions taking posts verbatum . . . linkbacks don't make this okay.

That said, I'm not going to have him take his post down, but I'm also not going to link to him and call him out. If he wants to come here and let everyone know who he is, that's fine with me. I have no hard feelings anymore and think what he did was courageous . . . apologizing for your wrongs is always tough.

As Melt mentioned above, I'd try asking for a link (not a nofollow!) back to your original article, failing that ask them to remove the page, and if they still won't accept responsibility then perhaps report it for duplicate content to Google - I don't know what their 'policies' are regarding translated pages, but I suspect they class it as a duplication of the original.

Melt, there is a link to this site, but does that give him the right to take my content? This is one of the toughest issues I've faced with no clear answer.

Joshua, tough one to chew on. Why don't you simply ask for some credit. can you get a link back to your site?
