I’m a huge fan of MyBlogLog, as it has become a great tool for building blog traffic, but I have one issue with the site that continues to annoy me:
The Problem with MyBlogLog
When you add a friend, the site redirects you back to your own profile. This is extremely annoying! When I find a user that I’d like to befriend, I want to continue surfing their profile after adding them as a friend. Once I’m back in my profile, it is difficult to find these new friends.
My Solutions
I have 2 solutions for this problem:

1I agree that it is annoying that it redirects you back to your own site. I think that there are many people out there that are annoyed about it too from others that I have talked to.

2Yahoo bought this property back in January. It may be a while before anything starts to move — and if they even bother.
I am actually with BlogCatalog, who basicly revamped their site almost identical to MyBlogLog — except they added in better directory indexing via categories and user keywording. They also added in a discussion forum, which I think brings everyone together better (it is quite active).
A good write up on in the SE Journal … scroll down to the last part about how MyBlogLog Community Manager Robyn Tippins is quoted about the future of the site.

3I read the write up from Robyn and she has been active on this blog. Robyn announced some changes coming forward and I look forward to them, but minor irritants like the one I mentioned really do take away from the enjoyment of using the site.

4Yeah..I agree. Last time I also experienced that. After adding a pretty girl friend it redirects me back to my own profile but I like to continue reading and surfing her profile but it take me out of it which is very annoying for me. As Josh said…It’s difficult to find it. But I know Mybloglog will do something good on this problem.
