John Chow Crashed My Browser Again

May 11th, 2007 by Joshua Dorkin | Filed under Blogging, Commentary.

I’ve been a fan of many of the things that John Chow has done on his blog, however I do have a bone to pick. It seems that at least 1 out of every 2 times I visit his site, my browser (Firefox) crashes on me. If I were just reading his blog it wouldn’t bother me, but it always happens when I’ve got around 5-10 other tabs open in my browser.

At this point, I’ve given up! I’ll read the site, but only through my feedreader.

John – If you’re reading this, please look into this situation. If it is happening to me, then it is happening to others as well. I’m sure it is something you want to fix.

As for the rest of you, are there any sites that do this to you?

I got the trouble this morning(many tabs) but I taught it was my Internet grimlins again. Maybe it was both at the same time or just my connections :(
I will try to notice it next time

It wasn’t because of the tabs that my browser crashed. I’ve crashed with no tabs open and on multiple browsers on his site.

He’s really taking that “I’m evil” tag to the next level!

Yep! This is totall evil, especially if he’s targeting me! lol :)

That’s definitely annoying. Sometimes firefox crashes on me too, but when I restart it I usually get a prompt that asks me if I want to restore the session (and all my tabs). Don’t you get that prompt?

This is not a firefox issue, Mark. I’ve had it happen with IE as well. BTW – Yes, I do get the restore session prompt. Regardless, his site continues to cause me troubles.

Very odd, I haven’t had any problems like that. Have you tried re-installing Firefox? No problems in IE?

Never happened to me on JC’s site.

    Very helpful I know….

Tab Mix Plus – it has a restore crashed session function.
